Currently enrolled high school sophomores in Fayette, Walker, Winston, and north Tuscaloosa counties who have at least a 3.0 grade point average are eligible to apply.
Sophomores accepted to the Career Pathways Academy will attend a Robotics Program in the Summer before their junior year. Students will enroll in 4-6 hours of dual credit beginning in the fall of their junior year and complete 22 hours by the time they graduate high school. In the summer before their senior year, students will attend a Career Exploration Camp with tours of manufacturing plants throughout the state.
Career Pathways Academy scholarships are offered annually on a competitive basis and provide all tuition, fees, books and supplies. If you are accepted in the Academy, there is no cost to you! Your only responsibility is transportation to a BSCC Campus.
Admission in the Career Pathways Academy is competitive and will be decided by an application process including references and a resume. Applicants meeting the necessary qualifications must be interviewed by Bevill State and industry representatives. Applications must be received by May 8, 2020.
