The BSCC Foundation scholarship was established by the family of former Bevill State president Dr. Harold Wade. This $3000 award covers tuition and fees for one year, rotated annually in alphabetic order among Fayette, Hamilton, and Sumiton Campuses. Awarded by the standing Scholarship Committee on each campus based on academic merit and financial need. Priority to a student who does not qualify for any Pell Grant funds, but still has established need based on the FAFSA Estimated Family Contribution.
The Bovay Foundation Guaranteed Tuition Program was established in 2011 through the generosity of Mr. Harry E. Bovay, Jr. The program provides Lamar County residents who are high school graduates or GED recipients the opportunity to receive a two-year scholarship at BSCC. Recipients must enroll at BSCC in the fall semester following their high school graduation or GED completion.
The Winfield Foundation Scholarship provides any Winfield high school students tuition-free attendance for the fall and spring semesters of their freshman year at Bevill State up to 16 credit hours. Applicants should contact the Winfield High School guidance counselor for application procedures.

The A.L. Franks Memorial Scholarship is a $500 scholarship awarded annually to a senior at Fayette County High School who plans to pursue a career in criminal justice. Applications are available from the counselor’s office at Fayette County High School.
The family and friends of the late Jonathan Kimbrell established this scholarship to honor his memory and recognize the achievements of a graduating senior from Northside High School. The amount of the scholarship varies and selection is made by the Fayette Campus Scholarship Committee.
Established by the Allen H. Moore family, this scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding senior at Winfield High School. The amount of the scholarship varies. Interested students should contact the principal’s office at Winfield High School.
This endowed scholarship program was established in 1994 through a generous contribution from the late Mr. Earl McDonald, a former businessman from Fayette. This $5000 scholarship can be used toward tuition, fees, and books and is awarded annually based on academics, leadership, and financial need. Selection is made by the Fayette Campus Scholarship Committee based upon academics, leadership, and financial need.
Generous donations from the family of the late Blanche Simpson Whitley and DCH-Fayette Medical Center have established a scholarship in her name at Bevill State Community College. The Blanche Simpson Whitley Memorial Scholarship provides a $1000 scholarship to a deserving student in Whitley’s lifelong career field of nursing, which she served in at Fayette County Hospital beginning in 1947.
The Paula Thompson Memorial Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship awarded each year to a graduate of Fayette County High School. Selection is made by the Fayette Campus Scholarship Committee and is based on academics, leadership, and citizenship.

The $3000 scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding senior at Fayette County High School and is based on academic merit and leadership ability. This endowed scholarship program was established for children of full-time Phifer employees. The amount of the annual award varies and can be used toward tuition and fees at any campus of Bevill State. Applications are available from Phifer's HR department or ESP office.

Recipients are chosen by the Fayette Campus Scholarship Committee based on academic merit. The following details awards made to Fayette County residents: two $9500 awards to graduating seniors at Hubbertville High School; two $9500 awards to graduating seniors at Berry High School; one $9500 award and one $9000 award (Michelle Bowden Memorial) to graduating seniors from Fayette County High School; three $1000 awards to the most outstanding GED recipients.

The $1000 (500 per semester) scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior at Fayette County High School who is a good scholar and has shown outstanding character, with a preference for someone with financial need and who is considering going into the teaching field. Criteria that will be considered will include this person’s attitude, kindness to others, work ethic, leadership skills, school pride, and involvement in school and community activities. The scholarship can be used towards tuition, fees, and books.
The $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a student attending either the Fayette Campus or the Pickens County Education Center. Students will be required to obtain proof of membership from Alabama ONE. Recipients must enroll at full-time status and maintain at least a 3.00 GPA.

The Logan/Green Memorial Scholarship is a $600 award per academic year that can be used on tuition, fees, books, or supplies. Eligible applicants are graduating seniors of Brilliant High School with a GPA above 2.0 who will be attending the Hamilton Campus.
The Ernest Rankin Fite Scholarship is a $690 award per academic year that can be used for tuition, fees, or books. Eligible applicants are residents of Marion County who are graduates of a high school in Marion County and attending the Hamilton Campus.
The Clyde Nix Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 award per academic year that can be used on tuition, fees, or books. Eligible applicants are graduating seniors of Hamilton High School who demonstrate excellent academic performance, as well as school and community leadership ability.
This memorial scholarship was established by the Millican family to honor the late Jennifer Millican. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees or books and is awarded to a Hamilton High School senior who attends the Hamilton campus of Bevill State.
This one-time scholarship is awarded to a U.S. Citizen in North Alabama in the counties of Marion, Fayette, Lamar, Walker, Winston, Lawrence, Limestone or Morgan. The award is based on merit and need with priority given to students interested in the fields of science and engineering.

Walker College Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public education foundation that supports our community by providing full-tuition scholarships as well as dual enrollment scholarships to students attending Bevill State Community College in Jasper. Walker College Foundation also provides four-year university transfer scholarships to students who graduate from our scholarship program.
Walker College Foundation, Inc. was established in 1994 from the endowed scholarship funds invested in Walker College. The Board of Trustees desired to keep those scholarship funds local and allow them to grow and benefit students in and around Walker County. Over the last 27 years, more than $3 million has been invested in the education of our citizens.
Individuals, families, businesses, and organizations have donated the funds listed below for the benefit of students in our communities. Anyone can make a donation to the family scholarship funds or to Walker College Foundation’s general scholarship fund. You may also set up your own scholarship fund by contacting Walker College Foundation at htrawick@wcfdn.org or 205-310-3189. More information can be found at www.wcfdn.org. Apply for any of these scholarships on the Walker College Foundation website under scholarships. Each year, our general scholarship application opens in early October and closes at the end of February.
