Register for the Resource Fair

Jasper – Bevill State Community College Division of Workforce Solutions and the Chamber of Commerce of Walker County have joined to host the Walker County Resource Fair on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at the Jasper Civic Center from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is free to both employers and the community. Resource providers and employers from all industry clusters are welcome to participate. Community members may complete a brief registration at www.bscc.edu/resource-fair prior to the event or register at the door.

“Bevill State continues to identify opportunities to serve the communities in our region. The Chamber of Commerce of Walker County is our primary partner for these events in Walker County, and together we have generated significant success in these endeavors, connecting hundreds of employers and job seekers. Expanding this event to include resources is a way to address barriers that impact the well-being, stability, and employability of our citizens,” said Dr. Joel Hagood, President of Bevill State Community College.

With registration for resource providers and employers continuing, there are already 34 tables booked for the event. Resource providers currently registered are addressing veterans' assistance, foster care, food instability, healthcare, addiction, educational support, and more. Employers represent a variety of industries including manufacturing and healthcare. Resource providers and employers may register by contacting Amanda Clement Tice at amanda.tice@bscc.edu.

“The Chamber of Commerce of Walker County is excited to bring this opportunity to provide centralized access to resources and employment. We recognize that transportation and time are significant barriers to accessing needed resources and hope this event allows people to connect with the support they need,” said Linda Lewis, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Walker County.
