Classes rotate between locations, based on the number of students who are ready for behind-the-wheel training. While online and behind-the-wheel training are free, students are responsible for the following items:
DOT physical (current municipal employees are exempt)
DOT Drug Screen
Written test ($25)
Learner's Permit ($36.25)
Class A License ($66.25)
Each student must register individually and set up a password. WRITE DOWN the email and password. These are needed to log into class.
Once the registration is processed, via email each student will receive a different link to access the online class. This may take 1 to 3 days.
The class access link should be used via a browser (do not use the Canvas App to access it). Chrome works well. Make sure the browser allows pop-ups.
All the online training must be successfully completed. Most students complete it in a week or two. This training prepares the student for the permit test.
It is the student's responsibility to complete and email copies of the items below. Send to amanda.tice@bscc.edu You must also bring these items to class on your first day. We will provide directions for Truckers Against Trafficking on the first day of class. Students must complete the Truckers Against Trafficking training online and email a copy of their completion certificate before we upload their documentation to the State of Alabama database.
