Bevill State Public Relations Team Wins Statewide Awards

The Department of Public Relations at Bevill State Community College received eight awards during the annual conference of the Alabama Community College System Public Relations Association (ACCSPRA) held September 4-6 in Orange Beach, AL. The Pyramid Awards competition recognizes the work of marketing and public relations professionals employed in the state community, junior, and technical colleges in the Alabama Community College System (ACCS).

Bevill State was awarded with three (3) first place Pyramid Awards; three (3) Awards of Merit, and two (2) Awards of Achievement in the Pyramid Awards competition.

Specifically, Bevill State was presented awards in the following categories:

  • Pyramid (first place) – Social Media (Instagram)
  • Pyramid (first place) – Social Media (Twitter)
  • Pyramid (first place) – Radio Advertising (Your Story Starts Here)
  • Pyramid Award of Merit (second place) – College Promotional Video (Bevill State Career Technical Education – Andrew Brasfield)
  • Pyramid Award of Merit (second place) – News Writing (Bevill State Partners with Mercedes-Benz – Tana Collins-Allred)
  • Pyramid Award of Merit (second place) – Social Media (YouTube)
  • Pyramid Award of Achievement (third place) – News Placement (Bevill State and Mercedes-Benz Partnership)
  • Pyramid Award of Achievement (third place) – Outdoor Advertising (BSCC Truck Driver Training Program – Truck Wrap)

“The ACCSPRA Pyramid Awards competition is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the marketing teams throughout the Alabama Community College System,” stated Dr. Kim Ennis, President of Bevill State Community College. “Bevill State’s public relations department has traditionally done very well in the Pyramid Awards, and I know that our team will continue to strive for excellence in their representation of our College. Communications within our service area is so important for the success of the College and we are fortunate to have such dedicated individuals at Bevill State to help us achieve this for us."
