Bevill State Public Relations Team Earns State Recognition

The Department of Public Relations, Recruiting, and Advancement at Bevill State Community College (BSCC) received three awards during the annual conference of the Alabama Community College System Public Relations Association (ACCSPRA) held last week in Gulf Shores, AL. The BSCC PR Department includes Tana Collins-Allred, Director of Public Relations, Recruiting, and Advancement; Sarah Allred, Admissions Recruiter; and Cole Richards, Admissions Recruiter. The Pyramid Awards competition recognizes the work of marketing, public relations, and enrollment management professionals employed in the state community, junior, and technical colleges in the Alabama Community College System (ACCS).

Bevill State was awarded:

  • Pyramid Certificate of Achievement – Newswriting (Tana Collins-Allred for the press release Local Partners Provide Grant Funding for STEM22)
  • Pyramid Certificate of Merit – Newswriting (Tana Collins-Allred for the press release Support for Dual Enrollment Benefits Students)
  • Pyramid Certificate of Merit – News Placement (Local Partners Provide Grant Funding for STEM22)

“The Bevill State Department of Public Relations, Recruiting, and Advancement has a history of success in the ACCSPRA Pyramid Awards. This department is composed of dedicated individuals working as a team to further the mission of the College. I applaud their commitment and hard work.” stated Dr. Joel Hagood, President of Bevill State Community College.

The mission of ACCSPRA is to enhance the image, strengthen, and promote awareness and public perception of the Alabama Community College System. The group holds two meetings per year, one in the spring and one in the summer. To learn more about ACCSPRA go to www.accspra.org.
