July 21, 2022
Bevill State Community College (BSCC) will be conducting lockdown drills at all five locations during the week of July 25 through July 28. Bevill State is committed to a safe educational and work environment for all students, faculty, and staff, as well as community members. The College is taking steps to ensure the safety of its campus community. This includes drills which will prepare students and employees in the event of an incident on campus.
The following is the schedule for the lockdown drills:
A campus lockdown confines all staff and students to their classrooms or offices due to a perceived or real threat. Isolation of staff and students inside the campus limits exposure to risks from outside contaminants: people, exposure/contact, or situations. The practice of lockdown drills acclimates both staff and students to the process and probability, and ultimately avoids unnecessary responses.
